Our Impact

Southern California Choral Artists (SCCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization founded in 2021 in Temecula, California. Our mission is to enrich people’s lives by creating vibrant and meaningful musical experiences that engage the heart and mind.

What We Do

  • Live concerts: Each season, from August through May, we present concerts for audiences across the Temecula Valley. Our repertoire runs from Bach and Purcell to living composers such as Dan Forrest and Morten Lauridsen.
  • A home for singers: We give 30 to 40 skilled amateur and professional singers from Southwest Riverside County a place to rehearse and perform challenging choral music each week.
  • Musical collaboration: We have performed with the Cabrillo Chamber Orchestra and the MSJC College Singers, and we invite guest conductors to work with the choir. This season’s guests are Brian Lustig, Catherine Marshall and Diego Guerra.
  • Accessible tickets: Student tickets cost $15 so that young people can experience live choral music.

Our Reach

In our 2025–26 season, we presented three concert programs across four concerts, plus one fundraiser, reaching about 1,500 attendees, with roughly 300 at each event.

Recent programs include:

  • Resounding Hope (October 2023)
  • Here We Come A-Caroling (December 2023)
  • Baroque Passion and Drama, with the Cabrillo Chamber Orchestra (March 2024)
  • Lux Aeterna, a Masterworks Series concert (May 2024)
  • Finding Rest, featuring Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living (April 2026)
